The previous operations levy measure for Sno-Isle Libraries was approved by voters in 2009. This provided funding which has sustained library daily operations for the past nine years.
Since 2009, voters in Lake Stevens and Camano Island have considered local ballot measures related to whether funding should be raised to build or renovate their community libraries. In 2014, Camano Island voters approved a special taxing district and capital bond funding measure. In 2015, a building was renovated and a larger, permanent Camano Island Library was opened. Voters in Lake Stevens passed a special taxing district in 2017 but rejected a capital bond funding measure to construct a larger Lake Stevens Library in February 2018.
